Overview

R43D Capture is a native iPhone app for recording a space and how the camera moves through it. This policy describes the current capture app. Your recordings are processed and stored locally; R43D does not receive them simply because you use the app.

The app has no R43D cloud-upload feature, advertising, or analytics or advertising SDKs. Capturing does not require an R43D account.

Information the app processes

  • Camera imagery and video of the space you choose to record.
  • Camera and spatial measurements: camera position, orientation and movement from Apple’s ARKit, camera calibration information, timing and tracking quality.
  • Motion and gravity information, including optional movement diagnostics when access is allowed.
  • Depth and surface information, where supported and enabled, including LiDAR depth and optional surface meshes that describe the shape of nearby surroundings.

The app does not collect GPS location or record microphone audio. It does not request access to your contacts or photo library. Images can still reveal private details of a place, so record only spaces you have permission to capture and avoid sensitive documents or people who have not agreed to be recorded.

How data is used

The app uses these measurements to record your walk, show tracking guidance, save a session and check its integrity before export. Exported sessions can support later spatial analysis or reconstruction; that processing does not happen automatically through this app.

Limited operational diagnostics help identify recording and saving problems. They remain on the device unless you choose to share information for support or through Apple’s diagnostic services.

Local storage

Saved and incomplete sessions are stored in the app’s local storage on your iPhone. No copy is automatically uploaded to R43D.

Your iOS backup and device settings may affect app data. Apple’s backup and device services are separate from the app’s export controls and are governed by your settings and Apple’s policies.

Export and sharing

When you choose Export capture, the app prepares a checked copy. You then select Files, AirDrop or another destination in the iOS share sheet. The app shares capture files only when you explicitly choose to export or share them.

An exported file includes imagery and spatial measurements. A destination may be another device, app, person or cloud-backed Files provider. Review the destination and its privacy practices before sharing. Cancelling sharing leaves your original session on the phone.

If you voluntarily send a recording to R43D for support or analysis, we receive what you choose to send. That is a separate handoff, not an automatic app upload. Agree the purpose and handling with us before sending a private capture.

Third parties

The app uses Apple system services for camera, motion, storage and sharing, without third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Apple may process device diagnostics and TestFlight feedback under its own terms and your settings. This policy does not promise that Apple collects no diagnostics.

If you email us, we receive your address and message through our Google Workspace mailbox to respond to your request. Our email provider processes that correspondence. Visiting this website is also separate from recording in the app; website hosting providers may process standard request information.

Retention and deletion

Sessions remain in local app storage until you delete them or remove the app’s data. In Sessions, select a capture, choose Delete capture, then confirm Delete permanently. This removes the session and its in-app export copies.

Deletion cannot remove copies already exported to Files, another device or another service, or copies in backups. Manage those copies at their destinations. Incomplete recordings can remain in Sessions for review; they are not silently discarded or presented as complete captures.

For information you have voluntarily sent to R43D, contact us about access or deletion. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal obligations.

Children’s privacy

R43D Capture is intended for adults recording properties and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to R43D, contact us so we can address it. Avoid recording children or their personal details in a capture.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the app’s privacy practices change and revise the date above. Future cloud-processing or other services would need their own appropriate disclosures; this policy does not describe features that are not currently available.
